* Bagged a double by winning both the titles in the 1st State Rapid and Blitz Championship at Bhubaneswar on May 24, 2009.

* Won the title and secured his third GM norm at Polonia Wroclaw Master Cup GM Tournament, held in Wroclaw, Poland from 28 April-5 May, 2019.

* Won a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh by finishing third in the Elite category of the 6th KIIT International Chess Festival, organized by All Odisha Chess Association at KIIT International School in Bhubaneswar from May 24 to 31, 2014. He also secured his first GM norm during the Festival.

* Made international debut in December 2005 at the Asian Youth (u-14 boys) Championship and finished 13th with 5.5 pts.

* Gained 14.5 Fide rating points by finishing third in the 2nd Gurgaon International Grandmaster Chess Tournament held at Gurgaon, Delhi from Jan 1 to 8, 2014. He beat Russia GM Alexander Evdokimov in the ninth round and held Georgia GM Sanikidze Tornike in the 10th and last round to finish with eight points, the same as the top two finishers.
